So why Berlin?
It's basically the midpoint between Asia and the US — so no one gets to complain about the flight. Neither of us has ever been, and we figured why not see it for the first time with our favorite people. It's gay-friendly, wildly historical, and has some of the best food, drinks, and nightlife in the world. Honestly, it just felt right for us. Will we see you there?

Fly into Berlin (BER)
Or fly into Frankfurt or Munich and take the train — both have direct ICE high-speed services to Berlin Hbf. Frankfurt → Berlin is about 3h 45m. Munich → Berlin is about 4h.

~11 months out
Award space opens early. The sweet spot for international flights on points is around 11 months before departure — set a reminder for November 2026.
Not Using Points?
Google Flights
Use Google Flights to find the best European city to fly into — sometimes a direct flight to London, Amsterdam, or Frankfurt is cheaper than flying straight to Berlin. From there, a short regional flight or train ride gets you in. Use the "Explore" map view to see prices across destinations at once.
Find Award Space
